LCA-NY Meets with New York State Department of Health Officials

Spring 2010-- LCA-NY Chair Phyllis Goldstein strengthened the existing relationship between LCA-NY and the NYS Department of Health (DOH) during another meeting this spring.  Phyllis met with various representatives from the Bureau of Chronic Disease Control, Division of Chronic Disease Prevention and Adult Health and the Center for Cancer Support and Survivorship Initiatives.  Their discussions centered around the distribution of information throughout NYS for those at risk or living with lung cancer. 

LCA-NY strives to establish a strong relationship with the Department of Health in order to better communicate with lung cancer patients throughout New York.  LCA-NY’s literature covers issues including “Understanding Lung Cancer” and “Patient Support Services.”  This literature provides hope to patients who otherwise feel alone in their battle against lung cancer.  We will keep you updated with information on this and other important partnerships developing throughout the state.
