LCA Medical Advisor Mike Smith goes to Congress

Dr. Michael Smith pounded the halls of Congress with LCA President Laurie Fenton-Ambrose and staffer Sheila Ross earlier this month to spread the word about the devastating impact of lung cancer from his first hand knowledge as Medical Director and a thoracic surgeon at Brady Health Systems in Atlanta. Dr. Smith, who is a member of LCA's Medical and Scientific Advisory Board also met with key members of the Congressional Black Caucus on the unexplained - and under- researched -- higher incidence and mortality rates among African American males.
