- Lung Cancer Basics
Friday, October 6, 2017 – Today, Lung Cancer Alliance (LCA) welcomes over 160 healthcare professionals from across the country to Washington, DC, for the 3rd Annual Screening and Care Conference. This two-day event will bring together physicians, nurses, nurse navigators, physician assistants, social workers and other clinical and administrative support staff from screening and care programs to move the needle in the fight against lung cancer by sharing lessons learned, troubleshooting problems and identifying ongoing areas of need.
The event will kick off with an opening welcome from Laurie Fenton Ambrose, President and CEO, Lung Cancer Alliance who will introduce Ella Kazerooni, MD, MS, University of Michigan for additional remarks.
Insurance coverage issues, reaching underserved populations, patient tracking technology, testing and treatment updates and quality screening implementation will be some of the timely topics discussed at this information-packed learning event. The conference will consist of general sessions, expert panels and discussions as well as an exhibit hall with conference sponsors.
The Annual Screening and Care Conference is an outgrowth of Lung Cancer Alliance’s dedication to high-quality early detection and treatment for those at risk for and living with lung cancer.
