SHINE A LIGHT ON LUNG CANCER--Candlelight Vigil and Illumination Ceremony

 

Join LCA-MA on November 5, 2009 to Honor the Ones You Love!

 

Why: To show Boston – and the world - that lung cancer will not stand in the shadows any longer.  It’s time to shine a light on this terrible disease!

 

When: Thursday, November 5th at 6:30pm

 

Where: Prudential Center at the base of the tower at 800 Boylston Street adjacent to the Hynes Convention CenterIf the weather is poor the ceremony will be moved inside to the Belvidere Arcade.

What: Candlelight Vigil, Reading of a List of Names of Lung Cancer Victims and Survivors, VIP Speakers, Illumination of the Prudential Tower

 

Who: Lung Cancer Alliance Massachusetts, Invited Guests, Lung Cancer Survivors, Family and Friends of Anyone Affected by Lung Cancer

 

Honored Guests and Speakers:  The event will be emceed by WCVB Channel 5 News Anchor Heather Unruh and include remarks from DPH Commissioner John Auerbach, State Senate President Terese Murray and Thomas Lynch, Jr., MD, Director Yale Cancer Center, Physician-in-Chief Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

How Can You Help:  Download Shine a Light Fliers and help spread the word in your community. Also, send your picture or the picture of a loved one to be a part of the Shine a Light Tribute during the ceremony. If you don't have a picture, you can email LCA-MA State Chair, Diane Legg, with the name of your loved one to be read throughout the evenving.
