SHINE A LIGHT ON LUNG CANCER--Candlelight Vigil and Illumination Ceremony

Directions and Parking for November 5, 2009

Directions to the Prudential Center:

The Shine a Light on Lung Cancer event will take place at the Prudential Center located in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood at 800 Boylston Street. 

The vigil and lighting ceremony will be held outside at the Prudential Center’s Boylston Plaza adjacent to the Hynes Convention Center. If the weather is poor the ceremony will be moved inside to the Belvidere Arcade.

Coming by Car:

From North of Boston
From Route 93 take exit 26, Leverett Connector/Storrow Drive, and follow to the Copley Square exit on the left. Take a right onto Beacon Street and follow to Exeter Street. Take a left onto Exeter Street and follow 4 blocks. The Prudential Center Parking Garage will be on the right.

From West of Boston
Follow the Mass Pike eastbound into Boston (the Mass Pike is accessible from Route 128/I-95). Get off at exit 22, Copley Square/Prudential Center.  Follow signs for Prudential Center. This will take you directly to the Prudential Center Parking Garage entrance, which will be on your right. 

From South of Boston
From Route 93 take exit 18, Massachusetts Avenue. Follow sign to Massachusetts Avenue and turn right. Follow Massachusetts Avenue for about 2 miles to Huntington Avenue. Take a right on Huntington Avenue. Take a your first left on Belvidere Street. The Prudential Center Parking Garage entrance will be on your right before Sovereign Bank.

From Logan Airport
Access Boston via the Sumner Tunnel and exit onto Route 93 North. Take exit 26, Leverett Connector/Storrow Drive, and follow to the Copley Square exit on the left. Take a right onto Beacon Street and follow to Exeter Street. Take a left onto Exeter Street and follow 4 blocks. The Prudential Center Parking Garage will be on the right.

Parking:

Parking is available at the Prudential Center parking garage.  The garage is accessible from Boylston Street, Huntington Avenue, Belvidere Street and Exeter Street.  Please see the Prudential Center parking map for garage locations.  For alternative parking garages near the Prudential Center please visit Back Bay Parking Garages and select daily rates for Back Bay.

For the Shine a Light on Lung Cancer event if you enter the Prudential Center parking garage after 5:00PM and exit by 3:00AM it will be a $16.00 flat fee with special ticket validation.  Please make sure to stop by the booth at the event with your parking ticket to receive the discounted validation.  In order to receive this rate you must enter the garage after 5:00PM and get a special ticket validation. Proceeds from every car parked at the Prudential Center garage for this event will be donated to the Lung Cancer Alliance.

MBTA Bus & Subway Directions:

We strongly encourage the use MBTA buses, commuter trains and the Green and Orange subway lines.  All services are all within a five-minute walk from Prudential Center. Visit the MBTA.com web site to see which route will work best for you.
