LCA-GA Advocates Attend Joan Gaeta Lung Cancer Foundation Gala

February 20, 2010--LCA-GA Co-Directors Ed and Linda Levitt joined other lung cancer advocates and health care professionals from across the state of Georgia at the 3rd Annual Dancing for Joan Awards Dinner and Dance. 

Emceed by Nancy Grace, CNN TV Personality, the event was full of dancing, cocktails, a silent auction and catching up with friends and colleagues.  The Hummingbird Award was also presented again this year.  This year's recipient, Jeff Wigbels, is a long term late stage lung cancer survivor and he received the award for his dedication to the cause.    LCA-GA Co-Directosr Ed and Linda Levitt were the first ever recipients of the Hummingbird Award for their perseverance. 

LCA-GA and the Joan Gaeta Lung Cancer Foundation work together on many initiatives throughout the Atlanta Metro area and area mutually supportive of the others efforst as we all work to end lung cancer as we know it!
