In Memory of Jerry Green

Jerry Green, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2003.

Jerry passed away at age 60, exactly eight weeks after being diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer.  He left behind a beautiful wife, a daughter and son, and three beautiful grandchildren.  He has another grandchild on the way who, sadly, will never know his loving hand, voice, and hugs.  Words could never express how much he is missed.

His diagnosis was only a few weeks after his children threw him and his wife Crystal a 40th Anniversary surprise party.  I jokingly said, "Dad, we thought we ought to do a 40th, because you never know if you'll make it to 50!"  My parents were the epitome of the word "soulmate."  Everyone who knew them was amazed at their relationship.  They provided my brother and me with such a loving and happy home.  I only hope I can do as well for my children.

I am so proud of my Dad for all of his kindness, courage and strength!  I sure wish cancer had not taken him away so soon.
