In Memory of Harold Curry
My father, Harold Curry, passed away on the morning of May 7th, 2003. He was
diagnosed with lung cancer that spread to the bone last September.
I thank God every day that I had the time to spend with my father over the
last eight months. Beyond being a good father, he was a buddy that I loved
hanging out with. Over the duration of his illness, he went through chemo,
radiation, a stroke, new-found diabetes and loss of vision. Never once did
he complain. Instead, he made us laugh with constant one-liners, pranks on
my mom and the nurses, and victory dances.
The day before he died I was able to tell him one last time how much I loved
him and how proud I was of his strength through it all. I truly believe that
if it wasn't for his humorous look at life (and death) that he and my family
wouldn't have lasted the eight months we were given. He was a very special
man.
We love you and will miss you tremendously, Dad.
Keep 'em laughing in Heaven.
