Discover How You Can Help Through the Benefits
of Wise Planned Giving

Join the lung cancer movement and meet your financial goals at the same time by making planned gifts to Lung Cancer Alliance. In fact, you may be able to do more for lung cancer than you thought possible and still receive favorable financial and tax benefits.

Planned gifts allow you to plan for the future - both your family's future and the future of others impacted by lung cancer. There are many planned giving options and we recommend that you consult with your legal counsel, tax attorney and/or financial planner about these options: stock gifts, real estate, donor advised funds, and estate planning.

Stock Gifts

Giving long term appreciated stock offers you a two-fold tax saving.  You avoid paying any capital gains tax on the increase in value of your stock.  In addition, you receive a tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift.  For income tax purposes the value of such gifts may be deducted up to 30% of adjusted gross income, with an additional five year carry forward.

The process is simple:

--You instruct your broker to transfer securities to Lung Cancer Alliance.

--Lung Cancer Alliance sells your securities and applies the proceeds to

        advance its mission.

Estate Planning

You may also choose to provide a gift through your estate by naming Lung Cancer Alliance as a beneficiary in your will. We have been humbled and inspired by our supporters who have decided to leave a legacy of hope for others impacted by this disease. It is one of the most impactful ways of memorializing loved ones while continuing to renew our empowerment, public awareness and advocacy work for years to come. You and your family may also choose to be recognized on our Tribute pages or Faces of Lung Cancer online exhibitions, providing the faces and stories of hope, inspiration, and a call to action for others to follow.
