Lung Cancer Alliance is the only national non-profit organization devoted solely to support and advocacy for all those living with or at risk for lung cancer.

Lung Cancer Alliance’s mission is to reverse decades of stigma and neglect by empowering those with or at risk for the disease, elevating awareness and changing health policy.
OUR COMMITMENT
EMPOWERING INDIVIDUALS AND COMMUNITIES
- Provide credible, thorough and up-to-date information about lung cancer through our toll-free information line at 1 (800)298-2436 and individualized educational materials.
- Provide psychosocial support through our Phone Buddy Program, our online support community, Lung Love Line (www.lunglovelink.org),Lung Cancer Alliance Times newsletter, Clinical Trials Matching Service at 1 (800) 698.0931, and referrals to other organizations.
ELEVATING AWARENESS
- Continue our national public awareness campaigns to change the face of lung cancer to reduce the stigma associated with the disease.
- Produce annual national and state Report Cards on Lung Cancer to benchmark progress made toward ending lung cancer as we know it.
- Develop grassroots programs that bring volunteers and partners together to achieve coordinated campaigns for action on vital lung caner issues.
CHANGING HEALTH POLICY
- Elevate lung cancer to a national public health priority.
- Enact a comprehensive federal research funding plan that would address all aspects of lung cancer including prevention, early detection and treatments.
- Ensure federal and state policy and resource allocation decisions are being made with the lung cancer community’s needs and interests in mind.
- Develop strategic partnerships with those committed to addressing lung cancer with an overall plan and sense of urgency.
